kyrgyzstan christian receiving death threats as ethnics violence

I am a little bit excited to share the story i have read . The article was written by  Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent BosNewsLife .

"Kyrgyz Christians were risking their lives Thursday, June 17, to help and shelter Uzbek believers in southern Kyrgystan, where ethnic clashes killed at least 190 people, injured 1,800 others and uprooted some 400,000 residents, Christian aid workers said.

"Amid the carnage, Kyrgyz Christians are trying to help their Uzbek brothers and sisters escape the violence – despite the prospect of severe retribution from fellow Kyrgyz if they are caught," explained Barnabas Fund, a group supporting minority Christians in predominantly Islamic nations.

A Kyrgyz pastor, identified only as Pastor K. for security reasons, his wife and church members are among Kyrgyz  Christians receiving death threats for supporting Uzbek Christians, added the group.

"On Tuesday, June 15, Pastor K. and some members of his church were helping an Uzbek Christian woman to find a safe place when they were stopped by an angry mob, armed with knives and axes. The group demanded to know who Pastor K. was trying to help a and threatened to set fire to his car and kill them," Barnabas Fund said.

"A man wielding an axe came close to cutting off the pastor’s arm. When Pastor K. told the mob that he was distributing aid, they kept three Christian women, including his wife,  hostage and went with him to see where the aid was being distributed, to check the truth of his story," Barnabas Fund told BosNewsLife."

Ramadhan mubarak to all brothers and sister.

Moon for start of Ramadan was sighted in various countries around the world including Malaysia.
First Tarawih Prayer will be after Isha of Tuesday 10th August 2010.
First Fast of Ramadan will be  Wednesday 11th August 2010
"Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people, clear teachings, and the statute book. Those of you who witness this month shall fast therein. Those who are ill or traveling may substitute the same number of other days. GOD wishes for you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify GOD for guiding you, and to express your appreciation."
The purpose of fasting is not to just get hungry and thirsty but it is to become "soleh". So one should stay away from  Un-Islamic things such as:

  • Getting angry
  • Using Bad language
  • Back biting and gossip
  • Arguing and fighting with Muslims.
  • Being rude and impolite
  • Looking, touching , flirting with non-mehrems of the opposite sex.
  • lying  and cheating
  • Engaging in riba (interest, usury)
  • women non wearing Hijab
  • men shaving beards and having cloths below ankles
  • allying with the enemies of Islam against the Muslims
  • promoting Un-Islamic ideologies such as democracy and socialism.
  • basically staying away from anything that is Haram
In Ramadan the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are shut, and the syaitan (devils) are tied up and the reward for good deeds, acts of charity and acts of worship are multiplied in this month.

Malaysia ethnic group

The population of Malaysia consists of three main ethnic groups—Malays, Chinese, and peoples of the South Asian subcontinent. Malays and other indigenous groups are known as Bumiputras ("sons of the soil"). Estimates for 2000 reported the following distribution: Malays and other indigenous groups (Bumiputras), 58%; Chinese, 24%; persons of Indian descent, 8%; and other groups, 10%. Malays predominate in the rural areas, while the Chinese are concentrated in urban and mining areas, where they control much of the nation's wealth; enmity between the two communities has occasionally erupted into violence. The non-Malay indigenous groups on the peninsula are collectively called the Orang Asli (aborigines) and number about 50,000.
Non-Malay indigenous tribes constitute about half of Sarawak's residents; the largest indigenous group consists of the Sea Dayaks, or Ibans, followed by the Land Dayaks, or Bidayuh. The majority of Sabah's population consists of indigenous peoples, principally Kadazans, Bajaus, and Muruts. The balance is dominated by Chinese.

Hari Membakar Quran Antarabangsa

""""""""""    On September 11, 2010, the extremist evangelical dove world church — whose pastor, Terry Jones, has written a book called "islam is of the devill” — plans to host “international burn a quran day,” when it will burn Muslims’ sacred text and encourage others across the world to do so as well. Churchmember Wayne Sapp has even posted an instructional video that explains how and why to burn the Islamic text.
CNN host Rick Sanchez invited Jones on his show yesterday to ask him about the inflammatory action. When Sanchez pressed Jones about why he would try to anger the world’s Muslims by burning their sacred text, the evangelical pastor replied, “Well, for one thing, to us, the book is not sacred,” provoking laughter from the CNN host.
Jones later went on to explain, “What we are also doing by the burning of the Quran, we’re saying stop, stop to Islam, stop to Islamic law, stop to brutality. We have nothing against Muslims, they are welcome in our country.” When Sanchez asked him how he would feel if Muslims burned the Bible, Jones admitted he wouldn’t like it but emphasized that it was his “right” to burn the Islamic text because “we live in America”:Jones wrote a book titled "Islam is of the Devil," and the church sells coffee mugs and shirts featuring the phrase.

Muslims and many other Christians -- including some evangelicals -- are fighting the initiative.
The church launched a YouTube channel to disseminate its messages.
"I mean ask yourself, have you ever really seen a really happy Muslim? As they're on the way to Mecca? As they gather together in the mosque on the floor? Does it look like a real religion of joy?" Jones asks in one of his YouTube posts.
"No, to me it looks like a religion of the devil."
SANCHEZ: Do you know how many Muslims there are in the world?
JONES: I think there are 1.5 billion.
SANCHEZ: Yeah. I ask you that because that’s a very big number. Why would you want to do this to 1.5 billion people by burning their most sacred book? That’s crazy.
JONES: Well, for one thing, to us, the book is not sacred.
SANCHEZ: But it is to them, it’s sacred to them. [...]
JONES: What we’re also doing by the burning of the Quran on 9/11 is we’re saying stop. Stop to Islam. Stop to Islamic law. Stop to brutality. We have nothing against Muslims, they are welcome in our country.[...]
SANCHEZ: How would you feel if a Muslim said to you, what you just said to them? I have no problem with you Mr. Christian, you’re welcome in my country, but I’m burning your Bible.
JONES: I would not like it. But it’s our right. We live in America!       """""""

This is the time for all the Muslims around the world to show the “power of doa” and the “power of prayer”. Lets pray together and protect the blessed al-Quran

what we are expecting as a muslim??
pray and pray. we have to protect Al- Quran!

where it all began

This week task is generally more about  the history. We are given a plain paper to sketch and a little bit of a conversation. The task has been successfully published on our last post.take a look and give your comment.
ok
In this week post, what if we get back  to malacca period where parameswara got the name of 'malacca'?
as all of us has been taught before in secondary school, malacca was established by the mouse events that happened in front of Parameswara. The idea to run Malacca was successful because of his background and his experienced. Due to his systematic and strategy, the sultanate of malacca extended its borders over the whole of peninsula including china. At the height of it's power, malacca has been one of the greatest and the most feared place to be. His political issue, administrative, strategic position, and because of his 'HANG'. malacca was very well-known among the outsiders. we can see clearly now in malacca, they still got their famous A-famosa which has been constructed more than 100 years. This is a symbol and still nowadays, we can see the baba nyonya, 'peranakan' people, the dance adapted from the portuguese and even the language that the dutch used like sudu.the only word i remember from my last class in primary school.sorry!.the journey continues with the story of sultanate malacca wants to marry hang li po. the story of hang tuah and his siblings.and the history began!
